A shirtless young Del Rio vandal is wreaking havoc on local public restrooms.
The Del Rio Police Department is turning to social media in an effort to halt his crime spree as they work to identify and apprehend him. On Friday morning, police posted a media graphic highlighting the destruction of restroom facilities at Hogan and San Felipe Parks earlier in the week.
According to police, restrooms along San Felipe Creek remain
closed due to the damage. Investigators say a video showing the act of vandalism was posted on TikTok and may help identify those responsible.
Police posted the following on the City of Del Rio Facebook page:

The video, originally shared by a user under the handle @wawa10257, has since been deleted, but authorities have obtained a copy.
Hours later, the young vandal struck again, targeting portable toilets at Hogan Park, with the suspect again posting video of the act online. Police say the video appeared to taunt law enforcement and the community. The social media posts on the city of Del Rio Police Department’s official page, say, “detectives are actively pursuing leads and believe they are closing in on the suspect.”
Del Rio’s Chief of Police Frank Ramirez is confident they’ll have the culprit in cuffs soon. “The walls are closing in, just a matter of time before they’re caught,” he said Saturday afternoon via text.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Lopez at (830) 774‑8595. All tips will remain confidential. Police say the community can help send a clear message: vandalism will not be tolerated in Del Rio.
