Del Rio Police Department press release
UPDATE: Minutes after posting this to social media, Del Rio Police Department reported via their social media accounts that the young man’s parents had been found.
On July 22nd, 2025, at approximately 11:16 a.m., the Del Rio Police Department responded to the intersection of Kingsway and Cantu Road in reference to a report of a suspicious person walking along the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers met with the caller, who advised that a young child was walking alone, unsupervised.
Officers made contact with the child, who identified himself as “Adrian,” approximately 7 years of age.
The child was found wearing a black jogging suit with white stripes, a black and blue life jacket, and black-rimmed glasses. He is non-verbal and appears to be a special needs child. At this time, he has been unable to provide additional identifying information.
For his safety, Adrian has been transported to the Del Rio Police Department while officers work to identify his parents) or legal guardian(s).
