Unofficial vote totals in elections for seats on the Del Rio City Council, the local public school district’s board of trustees and the hospital district’s elected board of directors were announced outside the county courthouse just before 8:30 p.m. today.
Val Verde County Clerk Teresa Esther Chapoy, who had been contracted to run the elections, announced the results. She said the results include both early votes and votes cast on the day of the election.
In the Del Rio City Council races, the unofficial results are as follows:
Councilperson At-Large, Place A:
- Carmen Gutierrez – 707
- Elsa Reyes – 412
- Steve Webb (Incumbent) – 402
- Arturo Rodriguez – 88
Chapoy said a runoff is still possible between the two top vote-getters, as there are still some ballots outstanding.
Councilperson, District III:
- Alexandra Falcon Calderon (Incumbent) – 162
- Randy Quiñones – 299
SFDRCISD Board of Trustees
In the SFDRCISD Board of Trustees races, the unofficial results are as follows:
