Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez has confirmed his office is investigating “a school threat” that occurred Saturday, Feb. 4.
Martinez told the 830 Times, “The sheriff’s office did an investigation in reference to a school threat. It was investigated by our office. There was one individual that was arrested, and the information was relayed over to the school district, and this remains an open case.”
Martinez said the person arrested was a juvenile. Texas law prohibits the release of information about juveniles who are accused of crimes.
The sheriff also said the threat did not involve someone bringing a gun to school.
“It did not happen on any campus,” Martinez said.
