We are heading into an evening where forecasters are predicting another drop into the 20’s. The warming center was slow last night with 5 residents staying warm. At this point, there’s a lot of open, delayed openings and closed businesses below, update on all schools all in a 90-second read.
What’s Opening
Platform Waste will be running normal routes and completing regular Monday trash pickups.
City of Del Rio offices will open at 1 p.m.
Val Verde County offices will open at 10 a.m.
City has opened a warming center at the Chihuahua Center at 1401 Las Vacas Center at 6 p.m. Saturday and will remain open until noon Monday.
According to AEP, Kinney County has opened a warming center in Brackettville at 408 S Ann St, Brackettville, Jimmy Earnest, Open 10AM – 6PM 1/24 and 1/25/26.
Monday impacts
Brackettville, Comstock and ALL schools in Del Rio are closed Monday.
