A 17-year-old Del Rioan is facing felony sexual assault charges after he alleged forced a young girl to have intercourse with him.

David Vazquez Julian, 163 Yucca Trailer Park Road, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Nov. 9, according to an arrest report released recently by the Del Rio Police Department.

Julian was charged with the offense of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony, the report on his arrest shows.

In an affidavit filed in the case, DRPD Detective Joe W. Castillo wrote that DRPD patrol officers spoke with a woman on Sept. 25 regarding “an outcry made by the seven-year-old victim, identified as L.M., per pseudonym.”

“The victim stated . . . David Vazquez Julian had sexually assaulted her,” Castillo wrote in his affidavit.

During her first interview with police, the child described a sexual act Julian performed on her. The child also told police that Julian forced her to watch him have sex with his partner.

Castillo wrote the child also submitted to a forensic interview conducted at the Bluebonnet Children’s Advocacy Center in Uvalde.

During the forensic interview, the child claimed another incident occurred on Julian’s bed. She described the act and explained it only happened once.

Castillo obtained a warrant for Julian’s arrest, and Julian was taken into custody at his apartment on Nov. 9.

Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Jesse James Treviño has set a bond of $250,000 in the case.
