On 03/07/2024 Alejandro Yahvet Avila; 28 years of age was arrested for the offense of Online Solicitation of a Minor by the Del Rio Police Department.
Detectives continued their investigation and discovered Avila was in possession of videos and images depicting child pornography. Detectives learned the child pornography content had been transferred electronically to several external devices belonging to Avila.
On 03/21/2024 Avila was arrested by the Del Rio Police Department, this time Avila was charged with the offense of Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography. A search of Avila’s residence was conducted, where additional evidence was recovered and submitted for examination.
Recently, the examination of such devices revealed evidence depicting Avila engaging in sexual conduct and sexual contact with a minor.
On 09/16/2024 Avila was arrested a third time by the Del Rio Police Department for the offense of Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child/ Sexual Contact. Avila was transported to the police station where he was processed for the offense. He was later released to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility, pending magistration process.
