City of Del Rio Police Department press release
On July 3rd, 2023 at 11:12hrs Del Rio Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of Cora Dr. in reference to several subjects pointing firearms at each other. Upon arrival, the initial officer witnessed several males pointing pistols at one another. The officer exited his patrol unit and drew his duty weapon, giving verbal commands for the subjects to drop their weapons.
The primary investigation revealed two males identified as David and Adolfo Valdespino arrived at Cora Dr. to confront property owners about stolen items. During the confrontation, the weapons were drawn and pointed at one another.
David Valdespino; 38 and Alfonso Valdespino; 39 were arrested and charged with the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Eduardo Reyes; 30, was arrested and charged with the offense of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
The firearms were collected and submitted as evidence. All subjects were transported to the police station for processing and were later released to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility.
