Nine persons were transported to a local hospital late Sunday following a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 90 near its intersection with State Loop 79.
Val Verde County Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez told the 830 Times Monday morning that deputies responded to U.S. 90 and Loop 70 at 11:25 p.m. Sunday “in regard to a rollover accident involving three vehicles.”
“Deputies along with Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and U.S. Border Patrol agents were able to provide first aid to individuals involved until EMS and Del Rio Fire Department arrived. Nine individuals were transported to Val Verde Regional Medical Center, and Del Rio Police Department officers took over the scene,” Martinez said.
The accident is still under investigation, and additional details will be published as they are made available.
