Val Verde Regional Medical Center’s Rural Health Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Alejandro Bocanegra, MD, FAAFP, DABOM, to its esteemed medical team.
Originally from Del Rio/Acuna, Dr. Bocanegra returns to his hometown, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in family medicine and obesity medicine.
With a strong educational background in psychology and biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and medical training from Howard University College of Medicine, Dr. Bocanegra is dedicated to providing exceptional care to the community.
He completed his residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine and is a proud fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Bocanegra is expected to begin seeing patients on December 8, 2025.
