Our beloved Mother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and great friend, Maria Elena Corbala De Leon, age 79, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in Del Rio, Texas. She was born and lived the majority of her life here in Del Rio. However, she often enjoyed visiting her family in many places across the United States. She will forever be remembered as the caretaker of her family and for her love of bingo and Elvis.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfonso and Natividad De Leon, her sisters Elvira Segura and Guadalupe Martinez and her much-loved brothers Francisco, Raul and Daniel DeLeon.
Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of love, friendship and kindness are her husband Jose M. Corbala, her daughter Rosario C. Kelley and husband Bill, and her sons Manuel, Alfonso and Eddie Corbala. Also left to remember her are her adored grandchildren Cassandra Kelley and her fiance Dave, Eddie Kelley and his wife Melissa, AJ Kelley, Ashly Waidley and husband Gerrad, Tanya Dominguez and husband Derek , Manuel Corbala, Daniel Corbala, Amanda Corbala and husband Anthony, and Alfonso Corbala. Her great-grandchildren Riley Stubbs, Gavin Waidley, Anthony Ruiz, Cecilia Ruiz, Cruzito Ruiz, Mila Kelley and Lyla Kelley. And lastly her sister-in-laws Lydia, Becky and Rosa DeLeon as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, (time pending) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
