Fred Cox Slover was born in Del Rio, Texas on September 4, 1948. He passed away on October 6, 2026 at the age of seventy-eight in Del Rio, Texas.
He was a proud Vietnam veteran. His passions were hunting and fishing. He was a truck driver for over fifty years.
He was survived by his wife Jeanne Roberts Slover, daughter Courtney Roe, grandson Michaelangelo, brother Rahe and wife Carolyn, step-sons Billy, Jason and Michael Clark, mother-in law Jeri Kynion, brother -in-law James Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held on October 24, 2026 at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 100 Spring Street. The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to First United Methodist Youth Ministries or a charity of your choice.
