The Animal Advocacy & Rescue Coalition Halloween Pet Parade was a long-time cornerstone of Halloween in Del Rio.
However, social distancing around the COVID pandemic put a stop to that.
Now, their pet parade is a virtual “Cutest-pet-picture-in-a-Halloween-costume” that is open to the entire world.
“We are beyond excited to partner with AARC to help raise funds for their new clinic!,” Sandra Fuentes, owner of the Wash-n-Go Car Wash announced on Facebook.
To participate, simply upload pictures at AARC’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/AARCdelrio . The winner will be announced November 1.
Winners are determined by the picture that gets the most Likes. They get more than bragging rights, but a basket valued at $500, $300 and $200, with pet supplies from Pet Sense, Tractor Supply, Wal-Mart as well as unlimited car washes from Wash-N-Go Car Wash.
AARC requests a $20 donation per pet picture uploaded. All donations go directly to the organization.
