Peter III plays Cripple Creek Father’s Day event

Cripple Creek Steakhouse is offering live music as part of its menu Saturday, also known as Father’s Day Eve.

Peter Herrera, a full-time musician who plays throughout Texas as Peter IIIP, will be playing on Cripple Creek’s back patio stage from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday June 20.

“It’s a great chance for us to honor the fathers out there,” said Polo Del Rio, Cripple Creek owner. “We know dads tend to love steak, but if you’re unable to bring Dad out and get him a steak Saturday night, we’ll set you up with a gift certificate so he can come whenever best fits his schedule.”

Also available will be Herrera’s recently released CD, 30 Damn Years that has his regional hit Del Rio (in video below).

Most regional CDs are sold primarily through appearances. Within days of Herrera’s release, the Covid19 lockdown began across Texas, halting all live music for until recently.

“It’s really good to get back out there,” Herrera said. “I’ve missed playing live music for people and I always love playing locally.”

Del Rio said that the Coronavirus won’t be forgotten. “Peter is playing outdoors and we are enforcing social distancing to create as safe of an environment as possible.”
