Del Rio High School football fans, get ready to head to San Antonio for the playoffs.
San Felipe Del Rio CISD Athletic Director Ric Smith announced Friday morning that
the Del Rio Rams (4-4) would travel to San Antonio Friday, Dec. 11, to face the San
Antonio Brennan Bears (8-1) in the Class 6A, Division II Bi-District round of the
playoffs.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dub Farris Athletic Complex, Loop 1604 at
Hausman Road.
Brennan is the District 29-6A champion while the Rams finished third in District 30-
6A. This will be the first ever football game between the two schools.
Tickets for the game will go on sale online only on Tuesday, Dec. 8. Adults will be $7
and students will be $3. Tickets will remain on sale until one hour prior to kickoff or
until sold out. At one hour before kickoff, all tickets will be $8.
Smith said that there would be approximately 1,400 seats available for Rams fans on
the visitors’ side of the stadium. Masks will be required and all COVID-19
precautions must be followed.
Smith said he has not been informed as to which site fans will be able to purchase
tickets, but he said they would not be available for purchase through the San Felipe
Del Rio CISD’s official website.
Brennan is on a four-game win streak. The school’s only loss came on Oct. 30 against
Warren, 20-14.
The Rams have won three of their last four games, but dropped their regular season
finale at Eagle Pass Thursday night, 21-0.
