Silver Eagle Beverages, one of the nation’s largest independent distributors of Anheuser-Busch beverages, today announced it has signed an agreement for Sunkey Beverage Holdings to acquire Silver Eagle Beverages which includes its business activities in Bexar County and extends over 12 additional counties in southwest Texas. Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
Silver Eagle Beverages is responsible for sales, marketing and distribution of Anheuser-Busch, Grupo Modelo and a wide variety of beverages to include domestic and import brands, microbrews and craft beers, craft spirits and several non-alcohol beverages and waters throughout 13 counties in Texas.
John L. Nau, III is chairman and CEO of Silver Eagle Beverages. Nau began his association with Anheuser-Busch in 1984 in Homestead, Florida. He is a known leader in the beer industry and through acquisitions became the largest Anheuser Busch distributor in the country for more than a decade.

The acquisition will include the San Antonio corporate office and warehouse as well as the warehouse in Del Rio and the depot in Carrizo Springs. The company will continue to operate as Silver Eagle Beverages.
