Sports/Community: BFCU golf tournament raises $14,000 for scholarships

Saturday morning,  68 golfers hit the San Felipe Springs Golf Course in the Border Federal Credit Union tournament and raised $14,000 to help local seniors get started in college.

Although the tournament was for charity, there was still a competitive feel to the outing.

Taking first place was the Fore Horsemen, the members were David Gomez, Mark Gutierrez, Turi Faz and “Guston”.

Second place finisher was Team Mac and Mack, with Mac Ortiz, Mack Ortiz, Gilbert Sanchez and Robert Musquiz.

Rounding out the top finishers were Rusty Welch, Max Wilson, Clay Taylor and James Wilhite.
