Del Rio professional angler Ray Hanselman climbed three positions during Friday’s final round to finish second in the Bass Cat Boats NPFL Stop 6 at Lake Dardanelle in Arkansas.
Hanselman caught a five-bass limit weighing 17 pounds, 5 ounces Friday, giving him a three-day total of 49 pounds, 5 ounces.
He finished 3 pounds, 1 ounce behind tournament champion Jason Burroughs, who won with 52 pounds, 6 ounces.
Hanselman opened the tournament Wednesday with five bass weighing 16 pounds, 5 ounces. He added another five-fish limit weighing 15 pounds, 11 ounces Thursday, leaving him in fifth place with 32 pounds entering the final round.
His strong Friday performance moved him past Scott Suggs, Brock Mosley and Hunter Sales in the final standings.
Suggs finished third with 48 pounds, 13 ounces, while Mosley placed fourth with 48 pounds, 5 ounces. Sales rounded out the top five with 47 pounds, 7 ounces.
Burroughs entered the final round in fourth place before catching the tournament’s biggest final-day bag, a five-fish limit weighing 19 pounds, 2 ounces.
Hanselman caught the five-bass limit each day of the Sept. 16-18 tournament, finishing with 15 bass and staying within 1 pound, 6 ounces of his heaviest daily weight throughout the event.
Scott Canterbury, the leader after each of the first two days, caught only three bass weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces Friday and fell to 11th place.
The Lake Dardanelle event was the sixth and final regular-season stop on the 2026 National Professional Fishing League schedule.
