Older sports fans can purchase their “season tickets” for this year’s home sports schedule, and football fans with existing season tickets can finally buy theirs.
The San Felipe Del Rio CISD has been busy selling its Senior Passes since last week. The passes, which have become a popular part of the school district’s athletic experience, are for fans 55 years of older and allow entrance to any local SFDRCISD sporting event. Fans who utilize the pass would be seated in the general admission section.
The passes are currently available for $3 for one year or $5 for two years. Currently, the district is only taking cash, no credit or debit cards or checks will be allowed for payment.
Fans looking to purchase the senior passes may do so by visiting the school district’s athletic office located inside the Carl P. Guys Memorial Gymnasium, but to access the gym persons must first go through the front entrance of Del Rio High School.
Passes are on sale daily from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
As for reserve tickets for this year’s Rams football games, the San Felipe Del Rio CISD announced Monday afternoon that season tickets would go on sale beginning today and continuing until Thursday, Aug. 3.
Tickets can be purchased by existing season ticket holders from the athletic office today until 4:30 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and then again on Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Ticket sales will not be held on Wednesday this week.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 1, season tickets will be on sale daily at the athletic office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
On Friday, Aug. 5, the remaining season tickets will go on sale to the general public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day until the tickets are sold out. Existing ticket holders looking to add to their current allotment may do so at this time.
San Felipe Del Rio CISD Athletic Director Frenchey McCrea Jr., said tickets were initially on hold until the district could get its new ticket and payment system up and running.
McCrea said existing season ticket holders were notified in regards to the delay in starting ticket sales and they would again be notified when tickets would go on sale.
