Del Rio High School will kick off the fall sports season Wednesday with a community pep rally at Walter Levermann Stadium.
Frenchey McCrea Jr., Del Rio High School athletic director, said he is ready to get the new year underway.
“We are back,” McCrea said. “The Athletic Department’s staff is excited to welcome everyone back to all of our activities, and we are glad to get this year underway!”
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Del Rio coaches, players and spirit groups as the community gets its first look at the Rams and Queens preparing for fall competition.
The pep rally will also feature a special performance by participants from the school’s kiddie camps.
The concession stand will serve as a fundraiser for the Queen City Belles and will offer pizza, nachos, Hot Cheetos with cheese, chili bags, popcorn, pickles and drinks.
Del Rio High School officials said the stadium’s clear bag policy will be enforced during the event.
