After a football season that saw the Rams play an abbreviated schedule, Del Rio High School returns to a full-time schedule beginning in August.
And with the return of a full-time schedule comes the return of reserved seating tickets for Del Rio Rams football fans.
Season tickets will go on sale to existing seat holders beginning July 12 through July 23. However, fans must contact the San Felipe Del Rio CISD athletic office June 21 through July 2 to set up an appointment to verify seating arrangements and purchase their existing reserved tickets.
Fans should call 830-778-4350 to set up an appointment.
The appointment system is one of two big changes for fans wanting to purchase their reserved tickets. Sales of the tickets themselves will be done online using Vanco.
Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 3:30 p.m. each day, beginning July 12. Fans seeking an appointment should keep in mind that the office will be closed July 5 to July 9 for the Independence Day holiday.
There will be five home games this season, and tickets will be $7 per game. All persons seated in reserved seating, including infants, must have a ticket or wristband to sit in reserved seating. There will be no exceptions.
For fans who may want to purchase reserved tickets for the first time, or who may want to add additional seats to their allotment, may do so beginning July 26. All remaining reserved seats will go on sale that day and will remain on sale until July 30 or until they are sold out. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Because the Rams took part in spring football, the team will have only one scrimmage before the regular season begins Aug. 26. The Rams will host Fort Stockton and Eagle Pass C.C. Winn for a tri-scrimmage beginning at 5 p.m. at Walter Levermann Ram Stadium.
The regular season begins Thursday, Aug. 26, when the Rams travel to San Antonio to take on Veterans Memorial High School at 7 p.m.
Del Rio’s first home game will be Friday, Sept. 3, when they host Odessa High at 7 p.m.
The Rams return to the road Thursday, Sept. 9, as they travel to Laredo to face Laredo Martin at 7 p.m.
Del Rio’s final non-district game will be Friday, Sept. 17, when they host Southwest Legacy at 7:30 p.m. That game will also be Military/First Responder Recognition Night.
After a bye week Sept. 24, the Rams begin district play on the road when they travel to Laredo on Thursday, Sept. 30, to face the LBJ Wolves at 7 p.m.
On Oct. 8, the Rams host the Laredo United Longhorns at 7 p.m. That game will also be a Pink Out game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Del Rio heads back to Laredo on Friday, Oct. 15, when they face the Nixon Mustangs at 7 p.m.
Homecoming for the Rams is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 22, as the Laredo Alexander Bulldogs come to Del Rio for a 7 p.m. contest.
Del Rio’s final road game of the regular season is Friday, Oct. 29, when the Rams head back to Laredo to square off the United South Panthers at 7 p.m.
The Rams will close out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 6, when Del Rio hosts the Eagle Pass Eagles at 7 p.m. That will also be Senior Night and Parents Night.
