Del Rio’s boys soccer district debut will now be one day later.

According to the San Felipe Del Rio CISD, the Rams soccer District 30-6A opener will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, at Walter Levermann Ram Stadium.

Junior varsity is scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m., while varsity will take the field at 2 p.m.

Del Rio was initially set to play Laredo LBJ on Friday, Feb. 4, at Ram Stadium with JV playing at 5 and varsity at 6:30 p.m., but Rams head coach Tani Canchola said Laredo asked if they could push the game back one day due to concerns regarding weather.

Friday’s weather was projected to see a high of 48 degrees and an overnight low of 27 degrees. Saturday, the high is scheduled to be 56 degrees with an overnight low of 30 degrees.
