It looks like the Del Rio Rams soccer team is picking up right where they left off last season.
The Rams took part in a scrimmage Friday night against the Eagle Pass C.C. Winn Mavericks and came away with a 3-0 win.
Demian Fernandez scored a goal off an assist from Raymundo Rivera, and Robert Garcia and Hector Trujillo each had goals as well for Del Rio.
Del Rio is coming off a season in which the team made history by becoming the first Rams soccer team to reach the third round of the playoffs.
The defending District 30-6A co-champions are next scheduled to host a scrimmage against San Antonio Cornerstone Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 2:30 p.m. at Walter Levermann Ram Stadium. Del Rio’s first official match of the season will be Jan. 4 against San Antonio McCollum.
