A favorite item of Del Rio’s older sports fans returns beginning next week.
The San Felipe Del Rio CISD is once again selling its senior passes for fans aged 55 years or older. Sales are set to begin Monday, July 26 at 9 a.m. at the district’s athletic office inside the Carl P. Guys Memorial Gymnasium at Del Rio High School.
Sales will continue daily until Aug. 6. The athletic office will be open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. each day.
Passes will be $3 for one year and $5 for two years.
Seats available through the senior passes will be general admission only. They do not cover reserved seating.
“It’s like it’s always been,” athletic director Frenchey McCrea Jr. said. “While all are ticket sales are being done online, people that want to purchase senior passes have to come into the office and pay for those.”
The senior passes had been a traditional item for Del Rio sports fans until last year when the sales were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
