It is with great sadness we announce our angel has gained her wings. Stephanie Nicole Salas, age 20, was taken suddenly in San Marcos, Texas. She was born on May 11, 2000 in Del Rio to parents Danny and Cindy Salas. Stephanie was a 2018 graduate of Del Rio High School where she excelled all 4 years of high school for the Del Rio Queens.
She was a Junior attending Texas State University pursuing a degree in criminal justice. Stephanie had just been invited into the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Stephanie lived life to the fullest spending time with her friends, watching basketball and football games. She loved her friends and family and would do anything for them. She had an inseparable bond with her little sis, Renee and her little brother DJ and would defend them at any cost, no matter the distance.
Family members left to cherish her memory include her beloved parents, Danny and Cindy Salas; sister, Renee; brother DJ, paternal grandparents Juan P. Salas of Sanderson; Elvira Salas of Del Rio; aunt, Johanna Salas. Maternal grandmother, Dolores C. Arrañaga; aunt, Rubi Martinez (Mario); uncle, Ruben R. Berain (Margaret); cousins, Matthew and Megan Martinez, Sabrina and Ruben J. Berain, and Isaac Hernandez.
Preceding her in death are her maternal great-grandparents, Luis and Dolores Arrañaga. Paternal great-grandparents Carmen M. Salas, Etelvina and Salvador Perez. Grandfather, Ruben G. Berain.
