National Touring Band The Spazmatics will perform after the moon has passed in front of the sun. Their performance will be at the Del Rio's epicenter, also known as the Del Rio Civic Center, located at 1915 Veterans Blvd.

Eclipse Day finally arrives

After months of planning, years in a couple of instances, Eclipse day is finally here for Del Rio.

According to CNN, The eclipse begins here at 12:11 p.m. local time on Monday, reaching totality at 1:28 p.m. and completely wraps up at 2:51 p.m. Totality will last three minutes and 28 seconds.

The biggest question is if the weather will cooperate. According to www.weather.com, it’s not a sure thing either way. “The rest of the country may have to contend with at least some cloud cover, including where the path of totality will begin in Texas,” they posted on their coverage.

However, one thing residents of Del Rio have learned, you can never really trust the weather forecasts.
