Del Rio Police Department press release
On July 31st, 2025, at approximately 6:29 p.m. the Del Rio Police Department responded to the 400 block of Veterans Blvd. for a disturbance.
Police were notified the parties involved departed the scene prior to arrival in a black in color Tahoe. Police located the black Tahoe and identified all occupants who claimed a verbal and simple assault occurred at the location. The occupants told police the other party resided near the 1200 block of East 1st Street. No apparent injuries were seen and after proper identification the party was released.
Approximately 15 minutes later police were dispatched to the 1200 block of East 1st Street for a disturbance involving shots fired. Upon arrival, police made contact with the caller reported a group of juveniles arrived at the location and confronted a male victim due to the previous altercation.
Witnesses reported one of the male suspects made threats to cause bodily injury and discharged a firearm towards the direction of a male victim and other residents standing near the house. Witnesses told police the suspect discharged the weapon and ran from the scene along with three other suspects. Additional officers located all four subjects in the immediate area.
Police also located the weapon approximately one block away from the scene. A search of the weapon’s serial number revealed it was a stolen gun out of Del Rio, TX.
The first suspect identified as Elias Solis, 17 yrs. of age was arrested for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (x 2 Counts), Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm, Theft of Firearm, Unlawful Carrying Weapon.
The second suspect identified as Jonathan Trevino, 17 yrs. of age was arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
The third suspect identified as a 16 yrs. old male was also taken into custody and charged with the offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity Use / Exhibit Deadly Weapon.
The fourth suspect identified as a 15 yrs. old male was also taken into custody and charged with the offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity Use / Exhibit Deadly Weapon.
