AT&T reaching out to customers.
Our world-class publisher (his words, no one else’s) just received following from AT&T.
“You may be experiencing a wireless network interruption. That means our techs and your AT&T Guarantee® have kicked into high gear. As our engineers work diligently to restore service, we’re also recording the downtime so we can automatically credit your bill. For status updates, go to att.com/outage.”
Anecdotal data shared by a customer said he stopped by the store and was told it would be quite awhile. He lives in Northern Val Verde County and when he crossed the bridge on SR 277 over Lake Amistad towards his home, his service was restored.
Many Del Rio AT&T customers are reporting no service Thursday morning.
“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them. We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored,” AT&T said in a statement.
AT&T also posted a longer update on its Network Update page during the outage:
“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. Our network teams took immediate action and so far three-quarters of our network has been restored. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to remaining customers.”
One number seen on CNN reported 73,000 customers are affected.
