Capri Temporary Housing has expanded its Del Rio operations with the addition of the Santa Carmen property, offering fully furnished apartments for workers and others needing flexible, short-term housing.

Anna Scheller, CEO of Capri Temporary Housing and Ceniza Seven, recently introduced the new property at 6818 U.S.

Ceniza Seven owns the real estate, while Capri manages the properties and provides temporary housing services.

“Both teams work together,” Scheller said.

Scheller said she had been interested in acquiring the Santa Carmen property for approximately two years before completing the purchase June 1.

“I’ve actually had my eye on the property for quite a while,” Scheller said.

The property includes four units — one one-bedroom apartment and three two-bedroom apartments. The approximately 900-square-foot furnished apartments include utilities, a washer and dryer and a full kitchen and are available month to month, with weekly rentals planned.

“We can rent for as little as a month, or if somebody wants to rent it for a year, I’m really happy about that, too,” Scheller said. “We will do whatever we can to make a client’s stay here as comfortable and convenient as possible, if it’s for a week or a year.”

The property is located a few minutes from the boat ramps at Amistad National Recreation Area and the Del Rio city limits and near State Route 79, the partial loop going around Del Rio’s east side.

Scheller described the Santa Carmen property as quiet and tranquil and said the company has room to expand by adding more units on the other side of the property.

The site also includes a common area with a fire pit that could eventually be used for gatherings and special events.

Scheller said Capri Temporary Housing offers a number of properties throughout Del Rio, with rental rates starting at $1,500.
