The following incidents were among those reported to the Del Rio Police Department between Friday, Oct. 15, and Wednesday, Oct. 20:

Burglary of a Habitation

DRPD Officer Homer Perez was dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of East Seventh Street at 2:36 a.m. on Monday after a burglary of a habitation was reported to police.

Perez reported Olga Copado, a resident of the 500 block of West Gibbs Street, told him she believed a woman she knows broke into her residence sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday and stole a black purse, valued at $20; $542 in U.S. currency, a $100 H-E-B gift card, a Border Federal Credit Union debit card, a U.S. passport, driver’s license, social security card and COVID-19 vaccination card.

Burglary of a Building

DRPD Officer David Valdez was dispatched to the Ramada Inn of Del Rio, 2101 Veterans Blvd., at 2:34p.m., Tuesday after a burglary was reported to police.

Valdez reported the manager of the Ramada Inn told police a maintenance man who works for the business reported that someone broke into a maintenance room on the property sometime between 12:40 a.m. and 12:46 a.m. on Sunday and stole a power drill, valued at $100; a digital multi-meter electrical test kit, valued at $50; and a bag of assorted hand tools, valued at $60.
